AZ 2000 HPS Combi with DT kit, absolute encoders and Linux control. Dual-telescope support (50 + 35 kg), internal cabling, Wi-Fi ready. Rugged foam-lined carton. Power supply and counterweights not included.
Description
The AZ 2000 HPS Combi is the latest version of the AZ2000 series, based on GM2000 mechanics with altazimuth design. It includes an additional locking system for permanent installations, enhancing long-term stability. Users can convert it back into a portable split mount by removing the locking screws.
The mount retains identical specs and dimensions as the previous AZ2000 HPS model.
A versatile research-grade mount, it is suitable for satellite tracking, photometric/astrometric measurements, LiDaR applications, etc. As an alt-az mount, it requires a field derotator for astrophotography (we recommend PlaneWave IR90 or Optec Gemini).
The standard version supports single-side optics with a short counterweight bar. A perfect counterbalance is not required—counterweights equaling 50 % of the payload are sufficient. This version includes the DT dual telescope upgrade kit (#1452905), compatible with GM2000 series dual plates such as Loduel and Maxidual, enabling up to four instruments (two per side). The DT set is CNC machined from high-strength aluminum alloy for superior rigidity.
