50 mm WRGB flat-field panel, perfectly even illumination, web-controlled brightness, supports telescopes up to 24" fixed or 22" in slit domes.
The Baader FFB 650 eliminates sky flats in any observatory setting. Its 742 x 742 x 200 mm chassis houses an infinity-mirror chamber and a dense WRGB LED array, delivering gradient-free light across the visual band. Separate Red, Green, Blue and White channels are managed by the side-mounted FlatPowerBox, with eight user presets stored in non-volatile memory.
A flicker-free driver enables exposures from 1 ms to several seconds, allowing either ultra-short or extended flats to suit sensor sensitivity. The rigid Minitech 30 mm aluminium frame offers wall, tabletop or rotating-dome installation. When dimmed, the panel provides gentle WRGB lighting for observatory interiors. Power is 12 V DC with breaker protection.
The unit covers instruments up to 600 mm (24") on fixed piers or 550 mm (22") in rotating domes, making it ideal for large astrographs.
