WRGB flat-field panel, 1250 mm clear aperture, browser-controlled brightness, delivers uniform flats for telescopes up to 1200 mm (48") fixed or 1150 mm (46") in rotating domes.
Baader Planetarium’s Flatfield Box 1250 is the largest model in the FFB family (450 / 650 / 850 / 1250 mm). Built for observatories hosting very large instruments, it supplies laboratory-grade flats regardless of sky conditions.
The 1342 x 1342 x 200 mm enclosure combines a multi-layer infinity-mirror chamber with a dense WRGB LED array, creating gradient-free illumination across the visual spectrum with no central dimming. The side-mounted FlatPowerBox drives White, Red, Green and Blue channels independently and stores eight user presets, all managed through any Web browser.
A high-frequency flicker-free driver supports exposures from 1 ms to several seconds, letting imagers balance flat brightness for LRGB, narrowband, one-shot colour and dual-band sensors. A rigid Minitech 30 mm aluminium frame supports wall, bench or rotating-dome mounting, and the panel can double as adjustable WRGB observatory lighting. Power is 12 V DC with built-in breaker protection.
